Mathematics

Mathematics is one of the fundamental, most unified and universal sciences. The discipline of mathematics trains the mind to use logic and reason to discover new knowledge, and to make sense of what we already know.

Graduate degrees offered:

• M.S. in Mathematics
• Ph.D. in Mathematics
• M.S. in Applied Mathematics
• Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics
• M.S. in Statistics & Data Science

Candidates in the master's programs typically complete 30 credit hours. 

Ph.D. candidates typically complete the program in 5 - 6 years with additional credit hours (depending on entry level) as well as a dissertation. 

Program Specific Admissions Requirements

• Submit a CAS graduate application with supporting materials.
• Applications are accepted for fall enrollment:
  • Ph.D. apps have a deadline of January 1.
  • M.S. apps have a deadline of June 30.
