Strengthen Your Passion for Understanding

Lehigh's Department of Psychology offers a highly selective, interdisciplinary, and research-focused environment designed to train sophisticated scientists. Our department is committed to a doctoral-first model, intentionally keeping our cohorts small to guarantee intense, close-knit faculty mentorship.

While we admit a few exceptional terminal M.S. students each year, our program primarily admits Ph.D. students. Doctoral candidates earn their master’s along the way and benefit from a guaranteed 5-year financial support package.

Specialized Research:

Our graduate students collaborate closely with faculty mentors, gradually developing into independent researchers across three primary concentrations:

  • Cognitive Psychology
  • Developmental Psychology
  • Social Psychology

(If you are interested in pursuing a graduate degree in counseling psychology, you must apply through the College of Education's program. For information, please visit their website.)

Program Specific Admissions Requirements

  • Submit a CAS graduate application with supporting materials
  • Applications and all supporting materials are due by these deadlines:
    • December 15 - Ph.D. applicants: Priority deadline for fall enrollment
